First Night Out

Jacob and I had our first night out on the town since we became parents. Jacob's mom, Sandy, offered to babysit Georgia so that worked out super! Jacob and I went to Waco to the Heart of Texas Fair & Rodeo to watch last night's rodeo performance. It felt very strange for the two of us to be out and about without the baby. It was nice to get a night out together and I think we really needed it. Even though we enjoyed it, we thought about her the entire time we were gone and I know I drove Sandy crazy calling to check in. It was harder than I thought it would be to leave her for more than just an hour or two, but I know it's good for Jacob and I to get out and do something together every once in a while!
