June 2010 (Part 1)

June started off pretty exciting. My Dad had to go to College Station to get some continuing education hours for his veterinarian license so Mom stayed here with us for two nights. Friday night Jacob picked up the puppy we were getting for Georgia. We had let a friend, Bret Cody, leave his gorgeous australian shepherd dog, Stella, with us for a few weeks in February to be bred by the male australian shepherd we have, Ringo. Well, it worked out and a few months later Stella had puppies! So part of the deal was that we got a puppy and, although I'm not sure that it is that great of a deal to get a puppy with all the caretaking we will be doing, it was a huge deal to Georgia. Saturday morning we woke up early and took Georgia out to meet her new puppy.

Georgia was so excited about meeting her new puppy. After that, Tiffany came to babysit Georgia so that mom and I could take a quick trip over to Canton to shop at the trade days. It was soooo hot in Canton and we didn't stay very long but we did find some cute things. Here are a few pictures of Georgia while Tiffany kept her...

Mom had brought a sweet seersucker dress for Georgia so on Sunday we got her all dressed up. She even was willing to wear the headband that came with it - this was a shocker. We cooked hamburgers and had it all ready by the time got there from his meetings.

Georgia loves her puppy. It took us a while, but we decided to name him "Henry".
The following weekend, my oldest sister, Jennifer, and her family was at a prospect cattle show about 30 minutes away. Her daughter Laurel came to stay with us for a few days to go to the overnight show cattle camp we were having. Georgia loves Laurel and just plays and plays with her. They are big buddies. That Sunday afternoon we played outside with some water toys and a baby pool.
