June 2010 (Part 2)

During June we held our second annual show cattle camps. We had 3 total and one of these was an overnight camp where the kids spent two nights. It was alot of work, but we had a ton of fun and we think the kids learned alot and had a great time. Nani kept Georgia for me during the camps but they did help us with lunch and came over to hang out during slower times and meals. Georgia always enjoyes seeing all the kids. She is growing up so fast. She really enjoyed drinking from the big cups and trying to get the drink dispensers to give her tea.

We took the kids swimming at the country club during the overnight camp. It was alot of fun to just hang out and let the kids kick back. Georgia enjoyed the swimming but needed her mommy and daddy close by.

Don't you just love his t-shirt? TOO FUNNY!

My sister, Judith came to visit for a little while during the time she and her family were in College Station for meetings. Josef & Johan stayed with Georgia and babysitters while Judith and I took a very quick trip to Waco to have a girly lunch and do a bit of shopping. Another June highlight was the arrival of Miss Ali Grace Thayne!!!! I was able to go meet Ali and see Aron & Jeff a few days after she arrived. She is precious and I am so happy for them- a sweet family!!!! Congratulations Aron & Jeff! They were at Aron's mom's house for a couple of weeks until they could move into their house. But I am happy to report they are moved in now, getting things painted and unpacked and life is grand!

Their dog, Ranger, is still trying to figure it all out. He did give me this look though and is quite protective of Miss Ali already! Very comical.

Another project in late June was cleaning Georgia's room and re-organizing the closet and her clothing drawers. What a mess and task. Tiffany helped me and we got it done. This was in the closet and Tiffany said it was too small and young for Georgia, but the next day we got her dressed in it anyways. She is very prissy as you can see!

At the end of June we were happy to celebrate the baptism of my niece, Quincy Page. It was a lovely service at a beautiful Presbytarian church in dowtown Waco. The choir was so wonderful and I really enjoyed it. Quincy looked like an angel and just took it all in. I am so happy for Johnna and Sutton - they are so blessed!

We got all the grandkids that were there to pose together. Georgia didn't mind at all going to the top of the stairs and just perched herself up there. We got a great group shot of them (for those of you on Facebook go take a look at it) but the one on my camera didn't turn out. Here is one of Georgia and Rachel (isn't she too cute!) and another of Georgia on her own. I couldn't convince her to come down the stairs but her cousins Josef and Johan convinced her and held hands on the way out. =)
